About Me
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in English Education at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez. My preparation consists of a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Teaching Certification with the Teacher Preparation Program from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. I have been part of the Honor Roll at the University of Puerto Rico since the year 2009. I attended The International Congress on Medieval Studies in Western Michigan University in May 2013 and presented a paper on the topic of Old English and Old Norse, as well as the First Popular Culture Conference held in the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, where I presented both a paper and a workshop on the topic of Cosplay. I was a member of the English Student Association at the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla during the year 2009-2010, as well as the English Department Student Association (2011-2014) and the Future Teacher’s Association at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez (2013-2014). I am currently part of both the Popular Culture Student Association- Mayagüez Chapter and the UPRM English Graduate Student Association. My experience consist of teaching 10th graders at a high school in the town of Moca, as well as teaching college freshmen at the University of Puerto Rico- Mayagüez Campus. At the moment, I am a graduate teaching assistant and have taught the courses INGL 3103-3104, Intermediate English I and II.
